RSP is also leading our industry in studying, testing and producing more environmentally sustainable plastic options, including:

  • Recycled ocean plastic: RSP offers manufacturing materials from leading ocean plastics suppliers that utilize a verified supply chain from the world’s oceans, rivers and shores.
  • Blended bioplastics: Integrating materials that include hemp, rice and other fibers helps our customers meet the demand for sustainable plastics.
  • Sustainable packaging: Using packaging materials made from recycled ocean plastic gives brands yet another important way to reduce their virgin plastic footprint and bolster their sustainability narrative.
  • Use of organic additives: These additives, which activate in the presence of specific microbes and enzymes found in landfills, help break down plastic when it reaches its end-of-life destination.

To date, RSP has molded over 50 metric tons of recycled ocean-bound plastic. This is equivalent to saving about 10,000 gallons of gasoline or the carbon sequestered by more than 75 acres of trees in just one year!
